Challenge Soccer - Challenge Soccer
Parents,

My name is Pat O'Toole and I am the Director of Coaching for the Challenge
Soccer Club.  Challenge is the most successful girls club in the city and
one of the top in the country.  Challenge was formed in 1987 in the Spring
area with a simple concept.  Do what is in the best interest of the players
and their development as players and people.  We have grown from the
original 3 team that formed the club to 28 teams in the Spring/Klein area.
The last 3 years we have expanded into the Kingwood area and on the south
side of the Houston in La Porte.  We began our Challenge South program 2 ½
years ago with 2 teams.  We have rapidly grown to 12 teams.  In the fall of
2008, we began practicing at Northwest Park and have enjoyed working with
the Quest Soccer Club for the last year and a half.  With the fall season
over the holidays in full swing, we wanted to touch based with you about our
Spring Academy Programs for U7-U10 girls.

Challenge Rec Plus Academy Program is for U8, U9, and U10 girls looking for
something more that the recreation soccer experience.   The program offers 2
practices a week with our Challenge professional coaches and games on
Sundays in the PDF League against clubs from around the city.  We will begin
practices for this program the week of January 18th.  We offer practices
Monday through Thursday at Northwest Park.  Parents have the option to let
us know which nights you would like your daughter to practice.  Players are
still allowed to play recreational soccer, but it is not required to be a
part of this program.  Please check out our attached flier for more
information and go to www.challengesoccer.com.

Challenge Technical Training Academy Program is for U7-U10 girls looking for
a supplement to the recreational soccer experience.  This program begins the
week of February 8th and ends April 29th.   Players can sign up to practice
once or twice a week for 10 weeks.  Practices are offered at Northwest Park.
Check out the attached flier and our website for more information.

Academy Training Goals: Our goal is to create a fun and challenging
environment that helps develop creative young female soccer players.  We
want to help create a passion and love of the game in the players we work
with.  We will expose the players to the technical, tactical, psychological,
and physical demands of the game.  We use competitive training sessions to
improve the skill level of the players.  We also want to improve the players
understanding of small sided games.  All sessions are done in a fun and
friendly environment that we feel will create a love of the game.

Academy Coaching Staff: The Challenge Professional Coaching Staff will
conduct all practices.  Our staff is the most qualified staff in the city.
We are recognized nationally as being leaders in the development of female
soccer players.  We have Olympic Development Program coaches and a former
Youth National Team coach on our staff.  The Challenge staff has the best
balance of licensed coaches, experienced coaches, and young up and coaching
coaches of any club in the city.
